Volta Fives is the off-season home of elite 5-a-side in Western Sydney. Built by the team behind the Project Volta Super League, it brings real matchday atmosphere and street-football culture to Sunday football at Wanderers Fives.

Ten teams. Two groups. Five Sundays of fast, physical, high-quality football, with $2,000 on the line and every team guaranteed five matches.

This isn't a social kickabout.
It's a stage.

The format

Two groups. One title.

Ten teams, split into two groups of five. You play everyone in your group across the first four Sundays, then every team returns for Finals Day. Five guaranteed matches, minimum.

Match Format

5-a-side, two 15 minute halves, squads of up to nine for rolling subs. Full competition rules go to every registered team.

How much does it cost?
$150 per player. Squads are 5 to 9 players, so a team pays between $750 (5 players) and $1,350 (9 players).
Where and when is it played?
Five Sundays, 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 January 2027, at Wanderers Fives in Western Sydney. Matches kick off between 11am and 2pm. Exact fixtures are confirmed to teams before the season starts.
What is the match and competition format?
5-a-side, two 15 minute halves, with squads of up to nine for rolling subs. Ten teams are split into two groups of five. You play a full round robin in your group over the first four Sundays, then every team returns for Finals Day on 31 January: the top two in each group contest the Championship semi-finals and Grand Final, third and fourth play off for the Plate, and the fifth-placed teams meet in the Wooden Spoon.
How many games are we guaranteed?
Every team is guaranteed five matches: four group games plus a Finals Day fixture, whatever your group position.
Who can play?
The men's competition is open to players aged 16 and over. It is an open, inaugural season, so any squad can apply.
Do we get team jerseys?
Teams wear their own matching colours for this season.
Is it streamed?
Your team is covered across Project Volta's social channels all season, and Finals Day (31 January) is streamed live.
What can we win?
A $2,000 prize pool: $1,600 to the champions and $400 to the runners-up.
Is there a registration deadline?
Entry is capped at 10 teams with no set closing date. Once all 10 spots are taken, registration closes, so get in quick.
